For many corporations, company parties are an annual way to show employee appreciation and celebrate milestones. To keep employees excited about this event, keep it fresh. Don’t do the same thing as last year, and the year before that, choose theme parties. Honestly, a party without a fun theme really isn’t a party at all. It’s just a group of people being mandated to look like they’re having a good time. Here are six party theme ideas fitting for adults and appropriate for any type of company event
If you need help choosing a party theme, here are some thoughts on making that task easier.
First, narrow down your list to 3-5 options. Then you can let employees or your planning committee vote. When compiling the list, consider your event location, weather, budget for decorations and themed giveaways. It doesn’t make much sense to offer up a luau theme as an option, if your venue won’t allow you to bring in a fire performer or have a budget to really make the venue look tropical.
The next task will be finding everything for the event that you can tie into the party theme. Some options may include decorations, color scheme, menu, giveaways, music, invitations, and entertainment. There are many online sites and event companies that can provide theme specific options ready to go. DIY is also an option depending on your time available and budget needs.
When it comes to decorations, remember you will probably only use this theme once for your organization. A good idea for passing along all your awesome work is to consider donating them to a charity. There are always non-profit groups having trivia nights, fundraising events, lock-ins, and award dinner events. They would be extremely grateful to have a new theme option and some of the work already done for them!
