Employees are one of the biggest contributors to a company’s success and employee gifts are a much needed item of recognition for hard work and dedication. Handing out unique, employee gifts at the office during the holidays, or during a company holiday party, is a great way to show appreciation and boost employee morale. At other times in the year, employee anniversary recognition and employee appreciation weeks are great times to recognize and give back to those employees who make your organization so successful. Choosing what to give can be tricky, but these five employee gift ideas are versatile and undoubtedly usable.
Gifting a ham or turkey can be perfect for the season of family gatherings. An upscale wine, infused olive oils, gourmet chocolates or cut of meat, like steaks, are also well received options. Gift baskets containing bread with assorted butters, fresh fruit with nuts, cheese with crackers, and salami with mustards are great options.
Boosting employee loyalty can be easily done with imprinted items showcasing a company’s logo. Practical employee gift items like travel coffee cups, blankets, portfolios, water bottles, and wearable gear are great choices. If it is a specific anniversary for an employee, their item can even reflect years of service to your organization for more recognition.
A paid “family day” is a wonderful way to show your appreciation. Give your employees an additional personal day to use however they would like. Another option is to close your office on a holiday you don’t normally offer as a paid holiday. Any way you decide to offer more time off is much appreciated by your employees.
If you’re looking for something a little more special than a physical gift, provide your employees with a catered meal. Employees will get a lovely meal and time to relax and interact with management. Choose a catering menu with some holiday party favorites and add in a couple unexpected items. Brisket and vegetarian lasagna are great options so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
This item can be a little impersonal if everyone gets the exact same item. Do your research and gift your employees with a card to a store they really enjoy shopping or their favorite restaurant. Always love your local and support your small businesses and restaurants. Those dollars have a great impact on the area and show your employees how devoted you are to your community.
